Other than that just get life and resists and a little bit of ES because we do get free ES regen from our ascendancy so might aswell put it to use. If you choose to do so I would recommend putting in Faster Projectiles for better clear, or Hypothermia for more damage. You can use Herald of Purity instead of Ice for more dps, or even a Herald of Thunder with a curse on hit setup if you prefer.
Vitality is not really necessary if you're struggling with mana, I mostly use it to get leech from my Watcher's Eye with the mod "Damage leeched as Life while affected by Vitality". I use Anomalous EK over the regular one to gain 2 more projectiles, the regular version gives projectile speed which is also nice because projectile speed also makes the proj go longer not just faster. I chose to go Anomalous and get the EK helm enchant that gives projectile speed instead to make up for the speed lost on the quality.
The good thing about this change is that we can summon an entire army in instanced fights such as Sirus, Uber Elder, or Shaper and we no longer have to hope for identified weapons to drop when clearing a map just to sustain your army. However, the downside of this is that you are forced to use an ability to create the blades in the first place, which can be a nuisance.
The build not only packs a nice punch but feels very reliable even for Hardcore. The damage scaling is very straightforward in this build, as it is ultimately a very generic minion-oriented build. With an army of minions preventing stray projectiles from reaching you, you can utilize modifiers such as Blind and Taunt on Hit from Ghastly Eye Jewel , which diminishes the threat enemies pose to you.

Because this is an increase to the damage taken, it is multiplicative with your damage dealt and additive with any other increase damage taken effects. I have always been interested in an EK build, but not having the time to test this right now..
